UPDATE!: I just found out that in addition to being named “Special Honorees” for Outstanding Country Artist/Group, the band and I have been nominated for six Detroit Music Awards: Outstanding Country Recording: “With Love From Lake Huron” album Outstanding Country Songwriter: Julianne Ankley Outstanding Country Vocalist: Julianne Ankley Outstanding Country Instrumentalist: Roger Noonan and Brian White Outstanding Classical Vocalist: Anamaria Ylizaliturri

Thank you so much for the putting us in the "Special Honorees" category for "Outstanding Country Artist/Group" in the 2021 Detroit Music Awards. This is done when an artist or group wins the award two years in a row, which makes them ineligible for the award during the third year. We're delighted to be honored this way and have great respect for the other Special Honorees.
